About Choral Arts
Our Sacred Purpose
Choral Arts West is a volunteer vocal ensemble under the direction of Clavis Ballard. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are dedicated to glorifying God and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through a soulful repertoire of Spirituals, Anthems, and Sacred Classical Music.

Sariya Barlow
Soprano • 2025 Recipient
Julianna Pierce, a soprano, is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Voice and Pedagogy. She is dedicated to choral excellence and serves as a section leader within her local parish choir while mentoring youth.
Kaya Ralls
Tenor • 2024 Recipient
Samuel Wright is a tenor committed to the preservation of African American Spirituals. He is currently finishing his graduate studies in Vocal Performance and intends to use his talents to serve in music ministry throughout the region.
Isaac Green
Alto • 2025 Recipient
Elena Vasquez is an alto and music educator who focuses on sacred choral literature. Her scholarship will facilitate her research into the historical development of liturgical anthems and their application in modern worship.
Alonza Lawrence
Baritone • 2026 Recipient
Alonza Lawrence is a dedicated baritone whose work bridges classical performance and community outreach. His scholarship supports his continued excellence in vocal development and liturgical service.
